Holly's Senior Project for Rescue

Holly is a senior at Moon Twp. High School. In PA, all students are now required to do a project in order to graduate from high school. These projects are to be of an area of interest to the student. Months of planning are required, with ridged guidelines by the state. Holly became interested in handling dogs a few years ago. Holly and her parents, Bob & Shirley, joined GTISC in 2005. Holly's love of dogs became her topic of interest for her project. Holly approached the club at a meeting asking for help and support for her idea. She chose to raise money for Irish Setter Rescue. She works at Robinson Mall and asked businesses in that area for basket donations that she used as a raffle. Holly received 9 baskets in all. All of the organizing and planning was her responsibility. Along with Bob & Shirley, and Holly's sister, Emily, several club members spent the day at Robinson Mall helping to sell raffle tickets and "explain" all about the Irish Setter Breed, about the dogs that end up in rescue, and what GTISC does to help a dog that does come into our rescue program. The people who stopped by Holly's set-up were non-stop the entire day.

Holly and her family wish to thank the members of GTISC for their help and support to make Holly's Senior Project for Rescue a huge success. Holly must now present her completed project to a "Committee" to be approved for graduation
