The American Kennel Club, local dog clubs and other pet-related organizations celebrated the fourth annual "AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day" with a bang this September. Over 360 free community events were held nationwide to educate first-time dog owners about the responsibilities of dog ownership and help current owners enhance their relationships with their pets.
GTISC held theirs at Pittsburgh Mills Mall with a "Meet the Breed event" (approx 10 breeds in attendance), with breed info/w/standard available, obedience demonstrations, working therapy dog in attendance with info on that. Also, they had a demonstration of conformation events by hosting a minidog show.
