Judge's Seminar 2009

This year the judges educational seminar was held at the University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg. Sam McDonald contacted Coleen to have her line up some of our best dogs for that day. “Claire” was the classroom demo dog used to cover the standard after Sam saw her finish her Championship in Timonium, MD this past April with her 3rd 5 point major. Deb reports that the classroom session was a very rewarding and educational experience while “Claire” was on the table Deb got to be Vanna White. Sam covered the Irish Setter breed history along with the standard which was all so interesting and informative. Prior to the afternoon hands on session “Claire” was moved so that all the judges in training could see her in motion since “form does follow function”. Hands on participants were Coleen with “Bea”, Lisa with “Callie”, Linda with “Jada”, Karen with “Drummer”, Christina with “Dewey” and Lori Curtis with “Rhett”. All in attendance were thanked over and over again for providing some of our finest and making the afternoon an educational experience.
