ISCA Nationals 2009

ISCA National, Lancaster PA It was nice to have this year's National in our own back yard, an easy 4 hour drive. Several club members were able to attend. Photos include our Pittsburgh Basket for the EISA raffle, the group that participated in the Rescue Parade, sweeps, regular classes, and one with proof of how hard it rained!

Friday was the only day without rain but it did not dampen anyone's spirits. Saturday, the Rescue Parade and BOB were moved inside to the Expo Hall. Most arrived on Tuesday but days of departure varied.

Congratulations to:

Lorrie with "Mulligan', Santera's Charmin' Mulligan, for earning his second RN leg with a score of 88 and a second place. Sue traveled with Lorrie to spend a few days.

Congratulations to Sally E. with "Quincy", Courtwood Quennel, for placing second in both Sweeps and the 12 -18 class.

Congratulations to Linda with "Murphy" Kinloch's Downright Foolish for placing 3rd in Am-Bred. "Murphy" is owned by Robin A. Stud dog placement of 4th went to CH Captiva's Quitte Ou Double, and his get that included "Quincy" with Lindsay, "Bea", Courtwood Quilting Bea,with Coleen and littermate "Willie".

Brood Bitch placement of 1st went to CH Rosette's Devil in Blue Dress and her get that included "Claire" BISS CH Courtwood Cobblestone and two littermates, "Ally" and "Michael". (this group was 4th last year in AZ)

Also entered were Linda's "Jada", Captiva's Catalina Race to Ohkom, Coleen's "Bea", who made it into the last cut of 6 in sweeps, and Deb & Skip's "Claire" in the BOB ring with Coleen, as very young girl. For Parade of Titleholders, Skip ran with "Callie", Linda with "Megel", and Lindsay with "Dugan", CH Saxony's Boutonniere, (belonging to Sally E.). Linda was also entered in Veteran's with CH Ohkom's Rock n Roll Angel.

Congratulations to Deb & Skip with "Claire" for receiving the Puppy Bitch Class award for 2008. This goes to the bitch who wins the puppy class the most times with competition, number of dogs defeated is the deciding factor. Thank you to Coleen for piloting "Claire" to earn this award.

To round out the weekend, The Parade of Rescue was the usual heartwarming event. Coleen and "Wagner", and Laura with "Bailey" were very proud to walk around the ring while the dogs' stories were read. GTISC was very proud to have supported the Parade of Rescue for 2009 by providing the Gift Bags to each dog and their owner!
