Ed and Pam Prichard
Greetings from Wild and Wonderful West Virginia,
We are the adoptive owners of Bella O’Shea. She was a 2009 “Rescue’ by GTISC
that was placed in our home in May 2009. The “Tails from the Hills” column seen
in GTISC pages unintentionally came into being when Ed began sending in monthly
reports on Bella. Pam and Ed thought it prudent to send updates since Butler, PA
is too far for you folks to travel to check on Bella’s well-being. We had no
idea that it would become a column even when we were asked if it were ok to use
some of what was written. It is enjoyable to recount Bella’s progress into
adulthood. We hope you enjoy young Bella’s memoirs as much as we enjoy writing
them. We certainly enjoy having her in our lives. We are not “show people”, but
we show Bella everywhere we go. She is a “looker” and an asset to the breed.
About Ed Prichard
I am a cantankerous, white haired, semi toothless retired school teacher of the
sciences. I am an educator, horseman, horse trainer, genealogist, and animal
lover. I have rescued several horses, cows, and dogs over the years. I am your
typical Hill Billy (with a M.S. in biological science). If you are ever in this
neck of the woods, Y’all come see us. We live just right up “the holler”.
About Pamela Prichard
Pam is Ed’s wife of eleven years after the passing of his first wife of thirty
years from cancer. After years of study, she is at long last a Registered Nurse
working at a critical care center. She also has been an animal lover since
childhood. She is a good bit younger than Ed, but does a great job on the
farm…..for a city girl. We have seven dogs, four horses, and fowl. Our children
are grown and away and now our animals take our attentions when there are no
grandchildren visiting.
